Better than 1.0mm cutting discs are 0.8mm x125mm , these are readily available at about £1.20 each to fit an angle grinder. The thinner the disc the less heat is generated with less distortion or discolouration and they are idealy suited for cutting into panels and particularly stainless steel.They will cut s.s. sheet from 0.8 mm upto bolts of 12mm diameter in situ with ease to give that 1.5 thread protrusion from the nut which looks "right",with practice there is no nib or burr left either.I have almost ceased using a hacksaw !
