Rs2000 Cylinder Head

Does any body know if the RS2000 head will fit a 2l sierra pinto block and if so how does it differ from the standard head, ie ported, bigger valves etc?

Ooops. Should have said it's a cast iron head not one of the new ally heads.

Bryan, I am convinced it is the same as the standard 2l head. If you want to change from the std. use an injection one, it flows better and has hardened valve seats!

Daym, I was hoping i'd found a cheap way to screw a little more power out of the old Pinto :gdit:

Yep it has the same porting etc. as any std 2l, except injection!! I've an idea it may even have less bolt holes than the Sierra one, but certainly no extra GG's

The cheapest way is as said use an injected head take about 40 thou (max is 60 thou) and take about 10 lbs off the flywheel ( that’s that big ring of steel on the engine side just inside the starter ring) You may have to set the tick over to about 900 but its worth it for the added response.
