On the zetec 1.8 silvertop? I have the water pump exiting the exhaust side, and a short oil filter on the induction side, so space is tight.

Anyone with the silvertop where have you put yours?

Thanks

All depends on how you're rooting the belts?

I have a 3 wheel system with all V tooth wheels around the alt, crank and water. Then you just need to fabricate a small brackate out of Inch bar to bolt to two of the 3 holes on the inlet side about level with the pump.

I have all V pulleys, although the alt is only a 3 V pulley whereas the water pump and crank are 5 V.

Some guys are using cut down belts to accommodate the 3 V pulley.

I was just wondering on what side peeps have put their alts?

Cheers

Hi Alan. I have a ND from a Suzuki Swift, tiny little one. I was just umming and erring on where to site it.

Why do you need an idler pulley? There's one on the alt, water pump and crank.

I have everything now ready to go, except inlet and exhaust manifold. I have sent a commission to FastDan on here for the inlet, but will probably get an Ashley exhaust kit and weld it myself.

I've got 7 days off coming up around the 20th so I'm going to crack on with it all then.

I need to pop over to Graham's and ease him of one of his sierra engine mounts at some point.

Speak soon.
