Alternator

Thrashed

Recommended Posts

Hi All, me again.

Final question, I hope.

I have got a Denso Alternator as pictured below.

I have connected the Ignition light (1) and the main positive (4), but number 3 is the one that has got me stumped. Where is this best taken from? Is there a wire in the engine bay already that can be used? or is this a case of running a whole new wire back to the fuse box?

Thanks

All you need a is a seperate switched ignition live, you could take one direct from the ignition switch itself with an inline fuse a use one stright from your fuse box, Its used to energise the alternator and connects to number 3 in that diagram.

Again an easy fix.

Because i am not using a heater, i took the switched live that would connect this and ran to pin 3 on the alternator. The wire is just long enough.

Another easy fix.

As a recommendation, the Premier Wiring loom is so easy to work with and instructions are very clear.

Thanks for the help.
