Additional Indicator Dash Warning Light

I have a Super spec with the standard Focus instrument panel. Trouble is, its not very easy to see the warning lights on bright days, especially the indicator flasher.

 

I was wondering whether if would be possible to fit an additional bright light in the dash and if anyone had done something similar whats the best way.

I fitted 2 of these for the indicators 1 in parallel for each flasher warning lamps

Caution they are loud, I had to put tape round them

 

Should work the same with any warning lamp

OK thanks Steve. Presumambly if you can do this, fitting an extra indicator in parellel s no likely to cause any problems either?

Should be no problem, the easy way is to fit one for each warning lamp, otherwise you will have to use diodes to stop them back feeding,

There is probably other ways, but for what you want to achieve I think simple is best.

i used two 5mm red leds, wired one to each indicater and installed the lights on the steering cowling. can see them on the brightest of days. think total cost was £3 or thereabouts from maplins
