Sva Test

Guys,

 

Just a quick qusetion.

 

On the SVA test do any of the panels get removed for the inspector. I.E Gearbox top cover etc

No they should'nt ask you to remove covers,unless they covers that would normally be removed,ie the bonnet .

they can ask you to remove covers if they need to know how something is fitted and can't find out any other way. I had to remove my boot cover so he could see how thick the angled metal was going between the outer tubes and the roll bar as I had a reel type belt bolted to it. I did say that it was strong enough and that the top shock absorber mount was bolted to it, But he insisted I had to unscrew to boot cover so he could have a look for himself.

Saying that I only think they would make you remove something if it was a safety issue they were checking.

If you are unsure about anything take a photo of it before it is covered up and have them with you at SVA, could save you a lot of trouble.
