I am looking for a sound meter for iva.

 

Been looking on iPhone apps at sound meters, just wondering if anyone has used one and are they reliable enough?

I had mine tested at a motorsport prep company and was very surprised when he got his Iphone out to test it, He said it was very accurate

The iPhone 4 can only read upto 100dba, I had mine calibrated and needed to add a trim on around +14, in the end I bought digital one online, much better than iPhone and supports unto 130dba. -+1.4. Without my baffles I was reading 118, on the iPhone 98 :-( finally got it to a reliable 97 on the digital meter.

SPL Meter and SPL Pro for the iPhone go up to 140db I have both of them on my iPhone 4 and they seem pretty accurate.
