Bright 6 Battery Light

Thrashed

Recommended Posts

YOur posted diagram is correct, connections to the fuse box are 12volt live,so warning lamp is between altenator 1 & fuse box live.

Sorry, being thick. would the fuse box live be a permenant live or a switched live?

Thanks

Hi guys.

The saga continues with the battery warning light.

Hooked up a non led warning light and rechecked the wiring and still nothing.

Now I have taken the alternator off the car and all of the pins connect to earth. I am sure this is not right??

Does anyone know how to test the pins? What readings should I be getting? I get the feeling that all the pins going to earth is no right.

Any ideas.

Thanks

An update and I have good news.

After loads of testing and checking and help from all of the above and more besides I bought a new alternator and it works. Just need to swap the pulley.

Well chuffed and happy the build can continue.

Thanks for everyone's help.

Steve
