Capri Clocks

How the hell do you fit the Capri clocks into a 2b?

 

Just started the build again in earnest - put the Capri clocks against the aperture, not a chance. the 2 dirty great chassis beams stop them fitting into the normal place.

Also tried behind the steering wheel, not a chance again....

 

Sure I've seen them in a 2b - help....................

Stuart I may be wrong but I'm sure that theres something about this on Ant Allens site, i remember i read something on there the other day.

Ps I had capri clocks in my 2b but have gone back to sierra clocks.

mines the one with the black dash.

They must fit in, Mitch, Dave Tomlinson & Tony the Tank have all fitted them in there 2B, there`s some photo`s in Jim Stotts website nw.rhocar.org

They do fit you just have to cut a small bit of the casing on each side for a snug fit

Thanks all - I knew that I had seen them fitted before...

 

Gordon - I did consider the butchering of the cases yesterday but thought I would post the question before attacking them....
