There are a few choices, most fit it to the rear prop UJ, this allows diff changes without affecting the speedo.

You can fit to a drive shaft, a hub or the front prop UJ but the sensor bracket will need to be attached to the gearbox tail housing.

The digi dash can also take a feed from an electronic speedo sensor that was fitted to some later type 9's and MT75's

Hi Chris,

Sorry not the best pic for you, but its the only one i have mate. I machined 2 spot faces

into the rear flange 180 deg opposite each other that where a good fit on the magnets.

Secured using Araldite.

Please not the magnets are polarized and need fitting the correct way around for the pick up

to work correctly.

My pick up mount is bolted to the chassis as the diff is hard mounted and as Paul says

above, if you fit them to the gearbox end the pick up mounting will need to be on the box

as well due to movement of the gearbox mounting etc.

HTH,

Nick.

Hi guys I have a locost now selling my 2b on eBay only selling it due to poor health so I cheated by getting the locost ready and on the road. My locost has a escort axle and my dash is th acewell 3251 the magnet is threaded so I guess I could cut a thread into the rear uj and mount a bracket in the tunnel or on the chassis? Cheers
