Does anybody know the name of the sealant used between the joints on precast concrete garages? and a cheap supplier also.

 

After 7 years mines dried out and shrunk, resulting in rain sneaking in.

Hi Jamie, the propper stuff is "One Part Polysulphide" mastic for vertical joints,Everbuild will make some in various colours, you can get a more modern version which is poly? its basically the low modular version of Sikaflex that we stick panels on with.

Some speacialist builders merchant will be able to get it, or look for speacialist that sell Civil engineering chemicals, should be between £4 to £6 for a tube.

 

If you get stuck I will be able to get you some, as I work for a Builders Merchant.

thanks marsbar, might have to wait for some money to come my way. looks like I'll need a tube for each joint which means I need quite a few!
