Does anyone know the best way of getting scratches put of stainless?

?

No

Sorry, If your Stainless is the body work then don't try on an area that will show. When your car was new it had a white peal layer over the plastic clear coat on top of the stainless surface. To my knowledge there is no way to polish out the scratches from the plastic layer. We wash the car with water then with a spray, clear window cleaner dry & polish the car. Get the cheap stuff from Tesco, looks like water in a spray bottle.

I've never managed to get scratches out of mine either, but I now know lots of ways to make them worse.

I just use window cleaner now (as Alan says), and I don't look too close !!

I have managed with a metal polishing kit, a drill in a vice and lots of time :) .

I managed to get some scratches on the door sill openings (trim?) before I fitted them and started with something like 1200 grit

wet n dry and then moved onto the polishing wheels with steadily finer compounds until I got them out.

It just takes SO long !

Simon.
