I've got a 2L pinto in my 2B which ran great in the donor, but since fitting in my Hood seems to run rich. It is now difficult to start.

I've had the plugs out- there's a lot of carbon deposit & they were wet with fuel.

How do you adjust the mixture, my engine has an ESC II electronic unit with stepper motor on the Webber carb?

Simon I am not sure about that carb and forgive me if this is silly but have you got a flat filter fitted on it which does not allow the choke plates to open up? Try running the car without a filter first, this will also allow you to see if the choke is coming off as it warms up, before you start major work on the carb.
