Censorship control lists.

 

No, this is not for real, and I don't expect you thought it would be, did you?

That's why it is posted in the Humour Forum, as it's a joke!

1984, it is not!

 

What I am wondering is if there should not be a set of fora censorship rules including a clearly defined list of people (I'll call them "stalwarts") who define them; i.e. make them up as they go along.

 

I'll make a start at a list of lists related to censorship strategy.

Dare anyone else add to it before this gets moderated by one of the above.

 

1. identities of the stalwarts

2. types of sense of humour and limits that are allowed to be funny [that should kill this topic dead]

3. events that the stalwarts support where all criticism is forbidden

4. attendees at functions who are the in-crowd and include the stalwarts and those acceptable to them and what level of outgoing personality others have to have to be brave enough to become acceptable

5. a very very short list (possibly zero length) of anything to do with the club and especially the committee that may be criticised

6. a very very short (possibly zero length) list of those stalwarts whom the p¡ss can be taken out of by other than other stalwarts
