Rubber Engine Mounts

hi all,

finally got the engine finished + want to see if it's gunna work or just cough at me,

the problem is i don't have the right rubber engine mounts,

does anybody know where i can get hold of some so i can drop the engine in the kit + give it some juice.

allready tried the local scrappy, but he didn't have any without an engine on top + without a hoist it would be pretty hard to get them out.

any help apreciated,

If it's one of these, then they are expensive new (£45 each from Uncle Henry) you need to ask for the Sierra 4 x4 mount (show him the photo) otherwise it's much cheaper to persuade your local scrappy to lift the engine up whilst you rob them (get both even if you only want one, they are like rocking horse poo!)

if you do buy new, please photograph it and I'll put it on the "parts" page.

Yep Jim is right £45 each :boohoo:

 

But when I went to the scrappy...he took the mounts off without using a hoist!!!

 

If you undo the arms at the engine, the engine only drops a couple of inches BUT MAKE sure the front cross-member is still there, else the engine will fall god only knows how far

Its just that the arms vary in lenght...

but as there worth alot there's no harm in taking them + making some profit,
