Made my monthly pilgrimage to GBS yesterday and purchased a 'Lower Dash loom' (as I couldn't get any joy from sticking wires into the auxillary switch) and two switches one for the horn and one for the fog lamp. (I thought this was going to be easy) .... I've had to think again! the 'download' from GBS didn't make anysense at all when comparing it to the switch instructions and the coloured wires available from the new loom.

I have three cables coming from the new loom.

First Cable, (1) Orange & (1) Brown wire,

Second Cable (1) Grey & (1) Brown wire

Third Cable (1) Purple wire, (1) Yellow wire and a Red wire with a red link.

On the switches I have Terminals 1,2,3, A and B respectively.

I'd be extremely grateful for any help as to what goes where.

Regards

Mike

Mike,

I presume these are the savage style switches you have.

If so, A & B is for the illumination. Stick B to earth, brown, and A will depend on how and when you want them illuminated. I have mine tapped into the side light feed.

For the 1,2,3 posts; I think you will ignore 3. For the horn, 1 to orange, 2 to brown. Fog switch, I think yellow to 1 and red to 2.

Could be wrong on all of this as its just by memory!

Cable 2 I think is just a spare 12v feed and an earth.

Cable 2 is for the cigar lighter or as its now called - accessory socket make sure you put brown to the casing or you'll be blowing fuses.

Cable 1 is for the horn switch - brown to pin 2 and orange to pin 1 (as stated above)

Cable 3 is for the fog light switch - although where you have purple I have brown (test to see it joins the brown of cable 1) assuming it does.......

The reds go to pin 2 and A

Yellow goes to pin 1

Brown/purple goes to B
