Steering Wheel Boss.

Hi

 

I am looking at getting a steering wheel boss for my Zero but I want to be sure that the Indicator cancel, Steering lock and horn will work as per the standard wheel. Do any of you know of a make a model of Boss that will allow me to this. I have a Seirra 94 steering Colum.

Mine's a mountney one and with the addition of the sierra horn ring does all of the above.

So can you remove the ring within the standard wheel or do you have to buy a new one. Not had a look at how the standard wheel is made up .

I used the one from the standard wheel It just clipped on the boss through some round holes in a similar fashion to the sierra one.

I fitted a mountney one. Must say I was dissapointed with the quality of the casting, no finishing internally with lots of burrs and casting flash. I had to get a file and chisel inside to clear off all the edges as I could not get the horn ring to lock in place. Once it was all cleaned up it was easy to fit. You reuse the horn ring and indicator cancelling. Horn ring just unclips from the old wheel and clips into the new boss. Indicator cancelling is a little plastic ring on the column with a lug on it. Make sure this is aligned with the notch on the back of the boss
