I used a 50mm exhaust clamp on the tail pipe, not the can. Drill a hole in the clamp and cut down the nut that fits on the bobbin and fit it inside the clamp. You then have the bobbin mounted on the stainless bar, the clamp on top of the bobbin and the tail pipe sitting in the clamp. Not pretty but it's hidden by the heat shield and when I eventually get the welder running, the clamp will go...,
