I had a Vectra and the same light came on, it is engine management and a friend of mine was a foreman at a Vauxhall main dealer for many years, he said if it was just a glitch and not a proper fault, you can switch ignition on and off constantly 25 times (i think !) and it will reset the glitch, if it comes on again its down to the Vauxhall garage me thinks.

 

Turned out to be the cam sensor on mine and then they reset it all for me in the end but the above might be worth a try ??? nothing to lose.

 

I will talk to my mate tomorrow just to double check.
