Legalities On Running Lights.

My false earth idea is flawed -- taking a return for the LEDs from the live side of the dip beam will only turn off the LEDs when dip is selected -- complies with the spirit of the law but not the letter. ( they should avoid dazzle)

If connected to the live feed from column right switch to dip/head wire should work as intended BUT may NOT if relays power the headlights -- & relays here are for sure a good idea.

Probably be best to use post 10 solid state relay or not worry if LEDs go off when heads on.

Prove theory by testing before publishing -- will now stand in the corner.

Use a 5 pin relay.....

Pin 85 connect to side light's, pin 86 to earth, pin 30 to an ignition supplied fuse, pin 87a to your DRL's and pin 87 leave unconnected

When ign. Is on DRL is on.....when sides switch on DRL go off.....easy peas. ...
