A Big Trip

I love my Hood and sometimes I think it would be great to do a big trip, the kind of journey were you pack a primus, tent, sleeping bag and a set of pans and just drive. But where to go? Over the years I have driven around Norway, Denmark, all over the U.K. numerous trips to the Alps, trips all over Germany and Holland. So where to go in the Hood? Maybe write about the experience? How expensive to ship the car to the U.S.A.? Anyone got any ideas?

I fancy the same thing but more along the lines of:-

 

Down through the Alps to Monza for a Ferrari visit.

 

All the way to Spain (Barcelona etc.).

 

USA would be a good road trip (coast to coast) but you'd have to put up with Yanks laughing when you tell them it's only a 2.0l straight 4.

i made enquireis about shipping a car home from vegas a few years back and it was around £600...

it was a car i had won on a casino slot machine and had to decide to take the car or the cash in a bit of a hurry... in the end the cash won the day, due to the fact that i have 2 cars already and didn't fancy driving around in a left hooker...

it was the best 15 cents i have ever invested.

The RHOCAR trip to Le Mans is a pretty good place to go to. You won't be alone, it's a fantastic week away, and it's a good distance to travel in a hood.

Mutley & I did 2800 miles around France in 2003, stopping at B&B's (it broke me!) We enjoyed it, but it's now out of my system and I wouldn't do it again.

well i was planning to go out to my dads villa in alacante(spain)next year in the new car,but i just put it into auto route and its about 1300 miles 1 way

So, a group of Hoodz are driving down to Le Mans and then on to Rizla's dads place in Alacante next summer, sounds good to me. How much private parking has your dad got Riz?
