Hi,

I am building a Scimitar SS1 to run in full Modified Sports Car class in sprints/hillclimbs. I am required to retain trailing arm rear suspension, but I will be fabricating fully adjustable tubular arms & mountings onto modified rear chassis structure. The original rear suspension is semi-trailing arms, and I will be making it into simple trailing arms without camber/toe change built into the geometry (12" wide slicks). I thought I might use Sierra trailing arms to mate to the XR4x4 diff and let me use Sierra rear discs in place of the SS1 drums. I have been hacking up a pair of Sierra trailing arms (incredibly heavy and bulky + too wide and horrible to modify) and have decided that there has to be a better option.

So...my question is whether there is a kit car that uses trailing arms? If so, what are they based on, and is it an improvement on the Sierra setup?

Thanks for any help.
