Hi folks,

Looks like I'll be going ahead with the build of a 2b soon.

Has anyone used the drivetrain from a 4x4 Sierra? If so,what are the pitfalls of a 4wd RH 2b,if any? Is there room for the 2.8V6 motor?

Any help/advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ian

People have fitted the 2.8 V6 & people have also looked at 4wd (incl Chairman Tim..) It seems that 4WD is pretty impossible due to the fact that there is nowhere to fit the transaxle & still give enough ground clearance (from memory, there may be other issues, do a search on here & you'll find the thread..)

saly is correct. Unless you want to do a lot of cutting and rewelding and then make the car left hand drive I would give it a miss. I wouldn't bother with the V6 either as it is very heavy altough some people have fitted it and are vey happy. it sounds bloody nice as well.

The majority of the running gear can be used but the front hubs need to be swapped for "normal" sierra ones.

I used a XR4x4 as a donor, give me a ring when you have got your kit and I'll let you know what I did to get round the small differences.
