That boiler might be very big but it aint so clever. It's still busted. Call in the Gasboard and let them worry about it !

I get the feeling that Jim knows rather a lot more than me about stainless very useful chap to have around. ( he's right about the 316 corrosion grades all being the same, just the temp rating increases... damn.)

If the old panels lasted say ten to fifteen years, it's probably cheaper in the long run to just replace with the same.
