I'm just about done with the old sierra and am ready to get rid of it but want to make sure I have all I need before she goes away! Besides the VIN plate is there any other numbers or bits I need to remove. Also, do I need to declare the car disposed off or is that up to the removal man?

Just SORN it when the tax reminder comes through. KEEP THE V5 - you need it when it's time to register your Hood, so don't give it to the scrap man.

Good advice even if he insists on it DONT give it to him as he is not collecting a car only some bits that once were part of a car with no vin plate or number plates and especially if you get out the angle grinder and cut out the vin number (near the drivers door on the floor) then it isn’t a car. Then keep it SORN’d

I forgot to remove the seal from around the filler hole in the fuel tank, but they're only £2.50 from Ford dealers. The door seals may come in handy too, my vid says to use one on the top of the firewall!
