I'm just trying to finish sorting out the rear end at the moment, and although I have the handbrake cable all in place the sheaths force the cable right over the drive shafts. I'm considering cutting them down to eliminate this problem, any reason why I shouldn't?

Well I did it anyway (brand new cable) and it all seems fine, just metal with a plastic lining inside, Took about 2 inches off each side so now the cable does not run under/ontop of the drive shafts, much neater and safer!.
