Floor

Can someone tell me whether there is any sort of strengthener needed for the floor, as it seems to be too flexible even when screwed on.

I presume you're still quite early on in the build and have only just attached the floor?

 

If so, you'll find the floor will become more rigid as the build progresses. For instance, you'll notice a massive difference when you fix the tunnel panels in place, and bolt them through the floor. Also there are lengths of angle that bolt across the width of the car; one for the handbrake pick-up and one for the seat belt mounts.

 

That lot makes a world of difference, but if you're still not happy there's nothing to stop you adding a few extra lengths of angle or steel strip to stiffen things up.
