HI All

Just wiring my stereo up, it all works i just ran test leads from battery.

So, i've found a 12v supply when the ignitions on but i need a 2volt constant feed for the memory etc.

What has everyone else done, this 2v was just a lead to the batt when testing and seemed ok (12v)

What you reckon.

Thanks

Jase

Just Done a quick search

Only thing to come up with was to use a distribution block from maplins for your constant feeds.

So Is it ok to have a 12v live feed on the 2v line.

It Did work but dont want to melt anything. :p

Doc

I did connect it really slowly!!!

And i couldn't wait, i'd just completed my amp and speakers in the boot and i just had to rig it up to try it.

And yes i nearly bought the garage down with a bit of g&r welcome to the jungle!!

Fantastic :p

if you dont mind switching on and off from the set run a fused live streight from the battery and connect to both the memory live and ign. live

can be handy when using radio without the keys.

Never heard of one needing a 2v feed... you sure it's not a 12v with a bit missing or misprint or something??

What's it from??

sorry that wasnt constuctive

you shouls have a red wire that goes to switched live

and a yellow wire thatgoes to a pernament supply

if the radio loses its memory when you switch the ign off just swap the red and yellow ( they usually have bullet connectors to allow this)
