Por 15 Paint Thinning

I was on earlier asking people about paint and got a good response

on POR-15, so I bought some. Someone also told me that they

were using white spirit to clean their brushes, but I've found that

my brushes set solid afterwards! Anyone else had this problem,

or are you all using POR-15's own thinners?

i put brushes in the bin afterwards just used very cheap brushes

I have tried a couple of things to clean the brushes after using POR15 but unfortunately have found that only the POR15 solvent really works. [After cleaning brushes with a solvent, I always wash them out afterwards with detergent and warm water, whichever paint I'm using....]

I'll duck behind something before I utter this one but....

 

Hammerite thinners works too - basically any xylene based solvet should do the trick.

 

Well Hammerite had to be good for something.

xylene thinners from a paint supplier much cheaper than hammerite.

also tractol enamel fantastic chassis paint paint or spray looks really good and cheaper

... I thought I tried Ham$%&*te thinners without much success..... I'll have another go next time, cuz I've got loads of that left after finding out about Hammerbigjim paint the hard way!!!
