Interesting comments, I would like to see the cars of the people with the stronger opinions to see wether it was a case of "people in glass houses" Also web site coment's are like texting you can be very brave or opinionated when you are not face to face. However i will allow them their opinion knowing that there are a lot of great Hoods out there built buy genuine people.

Tomm

seems a bit anti Hoods I think

I owned a dutton for 15 years before buying a robin hood, lets just put it this way the dutton is 1000 times better than the RH, as is the dutton owners club, I got thrown off the robin hood stand at donnington Kit car show a few years back for advising people not to buy a robin hood because of all the difficulties I'd had with the build and 'tricky Dicky' the owner of the Robin Hood company, so yeh it's a cheap kit, but just how many Robin hoods do you see at trackdays etc? They just don't hack it as a performance car, or put another way a sheep in wolfs clothing!!

I'm not surprised he got thrown off the stand for telling people not to buy Robin Hoods, I imagine if he stood in Tesco's and shouted out that

"Tesco was crap and Waitrose is much better"

Security would be right on his case

What an A**Hole

Some nice comments from that Rilza bloke though :D :D

i once had a similar probem with pc world after buying a faulty modem which they refused to change or refund telling me it was my pc that was at fault.... after 10 minutes of me putting customers off they got security to escort me out of the shop... i then stood out side the door doing the same to people going in when they came out and attemped to move me off. i pointed out to the manager that if 1 finger was laid on me i would be sueing for assult and that the resulting publicity in the local papers would also do there trade a world of good... result a full refund within seconds on the condition i never step foot in their store again.... like i really wanted to after that anyway??.

I don't think their digs are aimed at the RH builders, more towards RH itself for the lower quality of the kits that it supplies. I can speak from experience here as i am an ex-RH owner (2b). It is a real credit to the standard of RH builders that there are so many good quality hoods being driven around. I am sure that Rizla who is a regular here and at the locost site wouldn't be too keen to swap his Vortex for a hood again. I have seen the quality of many of the locost based kits and i will definately going to be building one of these next but i must stress that i have nothing but admiration for the RH builders, you are doing great work.

if my needs were changed yes i would, but i wanted a track car not a road car

ive had a hood, and loved it(s7) and was a great comuter car,the vortx certainly aint as good as a robin hood in that respect, each has its own market,as a certain other yellow car member found out,if you want a vortx like mine now it costs over 12k on the road, thats alot for a track/occasional car,rh costs much less but gives the same grin :) (well almost :D )
