Hello, i am pretty new to this site but everyone seems clued up so i am looking for some advice.
I own a 2B and the back wheel arches dont look right. When you look at the car from the side there is a big gap at the back and small at the front in comparrisment to the tyre, i would say around 1.s inch clearance between tyre and arch at front and arount 6 or 7 inches at the rear. Does anybody know why this is. I thought maybe the rear susspension is too high but the ground clearance is level.
Any advice is very welcome..??

I currently have a RH 2B, one of the first ones, it currently has a 1.6 pinto engine and i am looking to change this to a zetec, probably 1.8 as it seems much cheaper than the 2.0. I plan to fit this to the MT75 gearbox.
Has anybody done this already thyt has any advice or info that may be of use. Also i am a bit unsure of the extra parts i will need, as i understand it i need the following:
1.8 flywheel therfore a escort 1.8 clutch
Spigot bearing
Modified clutch release bearing (westfield do one for £55, any other places??)
Lucas Starter (which one i am unsure of LR707 i think, anyone know what this is off)
Sierra sandwich plate
If anyone knows the best places to get these please let me know, preferable as cheap as poss as money is a big factor.

K-series Or Zetec?

Hello, i recently posted a topic regarding the fitting of a zetec engine into my 2B, however i have still not made that big step and purchased one! I am now consider a k-series engine as i saw a nice 1.8 one on ebay.
I am on a small budget so advice would be much welcomed
I currently have a 1.6 pinto on a type 9 gerabox.
I have read that the Zetec and k-series both mate up with the type 9 easily?
The choice was a 1.8 k-series or 2lt Zetec, could somebody give me the pros and cons please??
