  1. I’m starting to think my only option maybe to add something to the top of the dash roll bar to fill the gap. There isn’t any room for any adjustment left
  2. That would be great, ive had another go at fitting it and this is the best I can get, About 2” from the dash bar but it’s still got slack and it’s not sturdy at all
  3. Thanks ill take a look, i also dont really trust myself to cut it in a straight line lol.. Im going to try and clamp the dash on slightly higher and see if that can help shape it better and go from there. So odd as every other part i have thought would be hard to fit all worked out ok in the end expect this.
  4. I wanted to stick as close to the build videos as possible to try and ensure I dont miss anything that then effects the IVA. This should fit, im stumped as to why it wont, and if it dosent follow the curve of the dash tube then its not got any structure support. I also worry if i cut it and fix part then ill just be moving the issue further down the bonnet. going to take it off and start again, it maybe some material taken out of the nose cone will let it go just enough back to take out this slack
  5. It’s correct, no gap on the sides (see pic) the bonnet is pushed back as far as it can be and has about a 2” overhang to the dash tube. However there is still a big gap around the top. stumped me, I figured the bonnet needs to go back more so that the gap is smaller but it would be nearly 5” further back to do this and the nose cone won’t allow it and clearly the dash shouldn’t be recessed by that amount I’ve played with it some more but still if I clamp the passenger side down so it’s along the dash bar I have excess around where the steering wheel is. It’s like the bonnet is too wide

  7. Just rewatching the build video before I commit to drilling for the hinges, it seems that he doesn’t have any gap when he fits his?
  8. Thanks that’s great. I was worried it was wrong.
  9. Im at the stage of fitting my bonnet however when I place it on the car and push it back as far as it can go because the underside lip hits the horizontal bar thats the top of the dash and the nose cone hits the front of the car, there is still a gap above where the dash attaches of about 2 inches on the left and 3 on the right. Its as if it needs to go back further, Any advice? Ill try and get a picture
  10. thanks, I think im more scared of the IVA than I need to be, Im expecting to fail and then get a list of all things to put right lol, If I do pass then it would be fantastic but I think the DVLA is taking upto 10 weeks to issue number plates so im not sure ill get it done this side of the summer Another thing iv just found out is they actually say on the videos not to fit the wind shield so that you can skip that, washers, demisters and so on. So do I just not fit anything there? or do I need to fit "something" instead of the window screen?
  11. I heard something about a "ladder" style bracket being needed for the seat mountings? An Exhaust heat shield Kit Spares sell a floor strengthening panel for hand brake mounting and seats, assuming this may not be needed then?
  12. This is a general question about the IVA, are there anythings people didnt realise and missed on their build, and updates to the IVA differ from the build videos of a 2B?
  13. Search for my post earlier this week, I literally asked the same question and worked out how to do it. There is a bend needed in the left and right hand side that isnt on any of the videos and i only just worked out that it was needed from seeing him fasten it from both sides on the video as he fits it. I bent my sides around a broom handle back on itself and the main corner around a gas bottle. Its scary and it does not seem like it will work but looked great in the end.
  14. Orderded myself on off the back of this thread. Arrived this morning, However im slightly confused on the cutting, I thought it was just cut in half and a bit trimmed off the back sides bit is seems like there are two strips cut off the back edge, Can anybody confirm before I cut it that my thoughts are correct?
  15. Done thanks for all the help, now onto the next panel lol
  16. One step ahead, jacked up the panel with a pallet truck
  17. Getting there now thanks for all the help from Everybody
  18. Do you happen to still have this? Would be amazing to get a copy as im not sure if im skipping over bits or if they are missing.
  19. Its the rear panel im struggling with and where to fold the sides, I think I now have it correct in my head with the image above with the red line but i just need to commit to actually folding it lol
  20. I may have worked it out from the words lol so like this?
  21. Unless I just can’t find it because the videos jump about so much there isn’t anything to show how to bend the rear. I’m so fearful of doing something wrong and messing up the Iva.
  22. Thanks! I thought there was a bend needed in the edges that tuck behind the wheels. so is the bend like the red or blue lines or something different?
  23. Thanks for the replies, it does help. the main part I can’t understand at the moment nor find pictures or video of is the corners of the back panel have two round cutouts on them. I can’t work out what for it where to bend them. In the build video it shows him talking about fixing this part to the tube on both sides so I think in some way it needs to be back on itself. they are in the top left and top right corners of the panel. They seem To be cut as if they go around a tube somehow
  24. With regards to the rear panel, I cant find anything to show me how to bend it. On the build video it seems smaller on the sides and he also seems to attach it from the outside as well as the inside so I think possibly the panel is bent back on itself.
