You know Jim I never considered that the heat in the footwell would get worse, it's damm hot in there to start with and that's with my shorts on. As luck would have it I'm just on with removing the engine so I'll be able to attack the manifold from all angles, seems a re-wrap is the way forward. I tried a black metal exhaust clamp on the silencer and yeah the coating came off after a while guess there's not much that stands up to the heat.

Ok thanks I'll reconsider what to do with it, maybe just replace it instead.

Hi Alan
Forgive me for sounding a bit dumb with this (we all have our moments and I'm new to all this) but are there any rules to parking on the club stand? Is it for paying members or is anyone with a robin hood welcome.

Hi all just a quick question does the stainless 2b chassis suffer any cracking issues with the welds like you get on the monocoque hoods. I already own a monocoque 3a and have been looking at a unfinished 2b with stainless chassis. Any advice appreciated thanks
Stu.

Thanks I'll have a look at that. Being GBS I assume it's for the zero so will there be any tweaking to fit a robin hood or will it be relatively straightforward?

Hi all.
I'm considering swapping my 1800 pinto for a zetec and was wondering of those that have done it what did you about the exhaust, did you have a complete new one made or modify the original?
