  1. Hi,

Can anyone tell me the size and offset of the wheels supplied with the zero kit?

I have the basic zero kit which did not come with wheels.

I intended to fit the alloys 15" from my donor sierra ( I also have the 14" original steel wheels from the donor) but neither fit the front wing brackets (too wide).

I need to confirm whether its the offset of the wheels or the wing brackets causing the problem.

    Thanks

    Andrew.

  2. What’s right with Hammerite? It is great for your steel gates and fences but don’t let it anywhere near a car. The stuff chips and then lifts trapping water so encourages rust. BTW a tin of the stuff will make a good door stop.

    Doh!

Well too late for most of it as the side panels are fitted.

What if I re- coat the bits I can get to with chassis black?

Would that give better protection against chipping and therefore water penetration?

  3. just a heads up really.

in the "manual" photos the rear hub carriers have a hole bottom left of the face plate this is to get the bake shoe retainer through to the back plate.

My carriers did not have the hole.

Its easier to drill the hole on the bench than when fitted to the chassis.

  4. Can anyone help?, Just dropped the Zetec into the Zero, Im using the the gearbox mount to pivot everything on but the only way I can get the whole thing to line up straight is by letting the side of the bellhousing actually touch the chassis (only just touch) - obviously this would make some loud banging noises when Im driving!!

It's the bit of the bellhousing that takes the starter motor, the last straw would be to butcher the bellhousing !

when at the factory last weekend Richard told me I'd need to cut the bell housing and pointed it out on the Zero that was crashed into I took this photo its not good but can just see the cut.
