    Oil Catch Tank

Morning all At the moment I have a small filter on the cam cover breather. Been thinking about putting in a catch tank. The problem is I'm not sure what pipes go were. I know you will have the pipe from the cam cover but not sure the other pipes. Ta Graham XX

    4 Bar Pressure

Been having fueling probs latley. I have fitted a fuel pressure gauge to see whats happening and I'm getting about 4 bar pressure as the fuel goes into the fuel rail. Is that the right figure I should be getting? I am using a Sytec H/P pump with a Zetec and standered rail/injectors. Ta Graham
  5. Thanks guys You get so much info from lots of people and you dont know if it's always the right way to do it. The problem is at hi revs the fuel "drops off". When it was on the rolling road we could only get about 100 horses out of it as the fuel rate slowed up. It has a new Sytec HP pump so I know its not that. I wonder if the ECU is holding it back. Any help would be great. Graham
  6. One question answered then another one comes along. I am running the GBS plenum chamber with the Zetec's own injectors and fuel pressure regulator. I have been told that the original regulator cant cope with the extra pressure the lager plenum makes. (air/fuel) I am using the normal set up, lift pump to swirl pot then H/P pump-filter to engine. Hope this makes sense as I haven't a clue what I'm on a bout. Not sure whether to use an adjustable regulator Graham

    Air In Filter

Hi all Has anyone got any ideas why I keep getting air in my pre lift pump filter? Shouldn't it be full of fuel with no air in it? Any help would be appreciated. Graham
  10. I think its about 85c just like yours. Do you know what the temp would be for your gauge to read red?
  11. I have got the "Retro Ford" water rail which has another outlet which I have blocked off as I haven't got a header tank. Graham
  12. Why do you think its so hight then? When the stat opens it does drop down to about 85.
  13. MMMMMM......the thermostat opens at 110 according to the ECU. I want to input the temp so when the car over heats then "red light" comes on. Just like when your temp needle goes in the red. Cheers mate Graham
  14. Afternoon I am setting up my KOSO digital speedo and cant seem to find what the max water temp is fo the max water temp. Has anyone got any ideas? Graham

    Zetec Breathing

Good morning I have a small oil breather filter on my can cover and a mate told me "That won't pass, not aloud to vent straight into the atmosphere" Is this correct and if so where do I put the vent pipe too? Ta Graham
  17. Cheers Paul...now know what i'm doing Graham
  18. Morning everyone I have taken Zoe's engine out again to fit a "type 9 clutch adjuster" but a bit unsure how to fit it. Has anyone got any idea's? http://www.kitspares.co.uk/shop/item.php?cat=6&product=9024&catsub=0 Ta Graham
  19. Bugger...ta Ian I have just put the engine back in after I forgot the spiget bearing!! Sorry being a bit thick but does adjuster go on the clutch fork? Gray
  20. Just been browsing "Kit Spares" looking for things I would buy if I won the lottery. I come across a "type 9 clutch arm adjuster". Now I'm thinking....bugger have I forgotten to put this in!! Is this something I need? I am using the standard Zetec clutch with a Type 9 box. http://www.kitspares.co.uk/shop/item.php?cat=6&product=9024&catsub=0 Graham
  21. Just an update on the bleeding saga...see what I did there!! I used a "grease monkey" and did it the old fashioned way. I did remember to put the caliper on top of disc before. Ta for all your advise Graham
  22. Cheers for the reply guys...I'm using a Sealey brake and clutch vacuum bleeder. When ever I bleed the back brakes (caliper on top of disc) there is always continuously about 1cm of fluid in the pipe with the same amount of air. Graham
  23. Evening Yet again I have another stupid question. I am having real problems bleeding Zoe's back brakes. I am using an airline bleeder, when doing the front brakes it works fine, however when doing the rears it always draws more air through than fluid. Any thoughts? Graham
  24. Cheers for your help guys..really appreciate it Graham
  25. Sunny afternoon to all I have changed the position of the rear calipers from rear facing to front. (facing towards the front of the car) Has anyone got any pics of the way they have routed the H/B cable and the flexible brake line so I know I have it all right for the IVA Cheers chaps Graham
