The place to be in yer hood this Sunday June 11th is with The Thames Valley Group doing a run over the Chiltern Hills, taking in the famous Aston Hill, along a challenging route with three notably famous steep hill climbs to challenge you and the car. Thanks to our man Steve from Chinnor who has planned every detail as you would expect any self-respecting aircraft engineer to do !!

This is open to all, in any car so bring along the tintop with granny, the boss in his Ferrari, anyone with an interesting classic MG or whatever, plus any kit fans you know.

Instead of meeting in the Fox and Grapes this month we will have an evening run out over the Welsh Hills. Meet in the car park of the Pondarosa Cafe at the top of the Horseshoe Pass Between 7.00pm and 7.30 pm on Wednesday 7th June - for those who do not know the Horseshoe pass is just outside Llangollen. Well yet again I've had another of my forums hacked (not this one) and a viri added to it alongside sending an email to 250 of my users! This is just a caution, but PLEASE make sure you have a fully uptodate virus detection system running on your PC (I can highly reccomend AVG at http://www.grisoft.com which is FREE for personal use), and also if you get any emails that have .EXE files in them - delete at once unless you are 10000000% sure of what it is.

Essex Hoods are meeting at the Tulip Pub in Arbour Lane, Chelmsford Sunday May 28th for our monthly meet between 11.45 -2.0pm all are welcome

Anyone fancy a trip to Poole for the Bank Holiday weekend? PooleFest is music centred event in Poole Park. For the last two years top of the bill was Mungo Jerry with support from some excellent local bands. I think they are there again this year.

There are other attractions there too, a small funfare, sundry trade stalls selling all sorts of stuff and, last year, Southern Hoods. Only two of us, but we generated a lot of interest with one complete and one part built car, more than the classic stand that was near us. I hope this year that we can have a bigger stand with more cars.

I can provide camping for about four tents in my garden if anyone is interested or there is no shortage of B&Bs. There is also a commercial camping site not too far away.
