  • Welcome to RHOCaR - The UK Kit Car Club

The aim of the club is to help and support members during the build (and inevitable on going maintenance and modifcation) as well as to plan and organize a wide range of social and sporting events, from local area events to our national End of Year Bash! We have one of, if not the largest club stand at the National Kit Car Show at Stoneleigh each year, and we definitely serve the best burgers! We also have stands at many other shows throughout the year all around the country. It's not just shows though, our active area secretaries and members arrange regular run outs and even longer trips including the ever popular Wales and Scotland trips.

The Club produces four magazines a year, exclusively for club members. It is packed with news, events, articles, technical features and irreverent cartoons. The Club is an independent organisation, and although we have our roots as the Robin Hood Owners Club and Register, we are very much a club for all makes and model of kit car, so anyone can be a "Hoody", as its all about the state of mind, not the car you drive!

Being a member of The UK Kit Car Club has many benefits above those already mentioned. Members benefit from discounted insurance with nearly all of the specialist kit car insurers, and often get a discount that is more than the membership fee itself. Membership also gets you full access to the forum, and a wide variety of other discounts, including discounts at Euro Car Parts. You'll also find other members are willing to go well above and beyond for anyone they see is in need of help, as long as they too are a member!

So whether you own a Robin Hood, a GBS Zero, a Locost, an MK, a Westfield or a Caterham, all can benefit form joining, so what are you waiting for?

    Lincolnshire Meet For September

    By alanrichey,

Obviously the EOSB is the main meet for September, although I have just decided to go on a last minute cruise to Russia next week (60% discount) so will have to bow out of that (Sorry Keith).

So does anyone fancy a pub lunch this weekend. I have been thinking of going to the Robin Hood pub near Bourne for some time (Actually the Robin Hood & Little John, but that spoils a good story :))

    Just let me know.

Granted I get there probably arent that many members over here or North Yorkshire but seen as we are blessed with some of the best driving roads it seems a shame not to ask lol.

    1St 2019 Scottish Meet

    By Moog6,

    Hi Everyone,

I would like to organise the 1st Scottish meet for 2019.

No date yet, But it will take place in Dunns. There is a fantastic pub in Dunns called The Black Bull where lunch could be taken in. (Don't forget Scotland has a Strict No Alcohol limit if Driving!).

It's a lovely part of Berwickshire, lots to take in, see and do and of Course the Jim Clark Museum (being rebuilt at the moment, hopefully re opened in time for the meet).

    Anyone interested in this?

    Please let me know.

    Thanks, Dave. 8)

    Stilton Run 2019

    By Derek,

It seems like we have only just got back from this years Stilton Run but the entry forms are out for 2019.

Marilyn has relinquished her driver status for next year so it would seem I have the dubious honour for next year.

I will arrange lunch again at the Bell Inn in Stilton but this can wait until January at the earliest.

NOTE.... The run has been re-titled as the Jim Barry Memorial Run as Jim, the organiser for many years, sadly passed away earlier this year. However his widow, Joy, is carrying on with the organising.

Its not much to donate to a good cause; one we may be glad of someday!

Newcastle Under Lyme August Bank Holiday

    By James24785,

Anyone available on the Sunday or Monday? Preferably the Monday?

A guy I know who owns a bar down the side of town is trying to get bit of a Motorsport gathering sorted down the road/street they're based on. It's a quiet part of town that he's trying to get on the map

He's interested in ANYTHING so wether that be kitcars, bikes, hot-hatches, steam engines, fast saloons etc then all is welcome aslong as you can get it there.

With me owning a Zero then I said I'd try get a few people together to support him.

Craig owns a craftale pub down a quiet street in Newcastle. This is the opposite side of town where the majority of Friday/Saturday night visitors may attend, but he's trying to drag people over to the opposite side where a lot of real ale/craft ale/ gin bars are trying to strive.

He's already applied to have Bridge Street closed off, and to be able to serve drinks out on the street during the day (non drivers, obviously).

If anyone is local to Stoke on Trent and is free then show some support. Let me know and I can pass on some details and get something sorted
