Need to know if there is any more interest in the planned meal for 13th December or would it be better if re-sheduled to early January? Will have trouble booking a venue if it's left much later --- so far only 6 have booked for the 13th.

We have 10 souls booked for the Christmas Meal which will be on 13th December @ Black Horse, West Tytherley SP5 1NF Lunch is planned for around 12 noon so suggest we meet at 11.30/11.45.

 

THERE IS ROOM FOR MORE MEMBERS !! Just don't leave it 'til the last minute.

Plan on all meeting at our house for coffee at around 11am then we can car share down to the pub which is a couple of miles away.

Have booked the entire dining room at the Black Horse so there is room for a few more --- 20ish max.

BAD NEWS the Black Horse has to-day cancelled our Xmas meal --- they say that they have lost/ eaten/sacked their chef --- without whom they cannot cook for 15 on the 13th.

 

GOOD NEWS after a load of phoning around pubs in the area we have booked 15 souls for 12 noon on the 13th December at ----------------- The Silver Plough, Pitton SP5 1DU

 

Still plan on all meeting at our place SP5 1QA for coffee at 11am, then we will car share to the pub.

Ah the Silver Plough spent many hours there back in the day. looking forward to revisiting.

Food was always good and sure it still is.

Thanks to all above who made the day such a pleasure -- the failure of the Black Horse catering was a blessing in disguise as the Silver Plough at Pitton provided a tasty 3 coarse meal for just over £20 p/p. including crackers -- not too sure about the hanging metal stars -- us tall folk punctured bald tops more than once.
