Tyre Time 185/60/13

well I need another set of rear tyres, think I must have got a dodgy batch as the others don't seem to have lasted very well

I can't stretch to the toyo 888's as I would have liked and other than that it appears the choice is somewhat limited for 185/60/13 ;)

there is a couple of type of Toyo proxes available, but I havn't had experience of either of them, theres the proxes c1 -f at 36 quid, and the proxes f5 which has been reduced from 36 to 27 on camskill, the third option is to go for falken ze512's, I havn't had any experience with them but have been told there pretty good ;)

I'd prefer the ones with the most grip as I don't wanna buy them to find out there poo  so just thought I'd check to see what you lot thought, if you have any experience with either or any recomendations for others

Thanks in advance

James

HI

I used Toyos on my quattro, were alot better than Goodyear F1s, grip very well but then you only get about 8-9000miles out of them if driven hard. But then they are a lot cheaper also.

which model toyo's did you use? as the t1-s and t1-r and the ones for bigger sizes, and I'm not sure how the models from the smaller sizes compare?

the last 2 sets lasted 3k each

unfortunately they don't do the F1's in 13's ;)

are the a539's worth searching for?

Yes we are very happy with the Goodyear F1s, lots of grip, wet or dry.

and the last pair I got to replace our rears only cost £35 each <_< <_<

Even 3000 miles sounds good to me, I've done the rears (A032r) in 750 miles

I'd like to say it was a fluke, but the fronts only last 150 miles more :o

I'm sure you could claim for some sort of disability to pay for your tyres...

but what is the best option for me? :p

Get some big lightweight ones then. There are lots of wheels around that will be no heavier than your 13's and then you will have lots of choice.
