Boot Fitting

Hello,

has anyone retro fitted a lockable boot to a monocoque car?

we're in need of some ideas for how to secure and cover the new panels that have been made to fit.

heres a pic of the story so far, but its hard to see how to upholster and secure these parts when they have to go in in 3 pieces to fit around the roll bar

cheers

paul

HI Mate

Enforcer's is the tidyest i've seen mate, there was a thread where he put a few pics on , or it might be in his garage pics,

Would be easily converted to your boot shape. 4mm ply i think??

Not that i might be considering the same method over the winter!!!!!!!!

Hi Paul,

I agree with Jase, after seeing Photo's of enforcers I PM'd him & he kindly sent me out a template and CD for his boot.

His is a 2B though, don't know how much difference that would make?

One related thought that springs to mind it the new cover will interfere with the normal fitting of the hood frame. It usualy lies flat on the surface between the wing and rollover bar. You will need to be a little more inventive with bending it and site of its pivot point to get it in neatly or leave a groove where it usualy goes.
