Brake/fuel Lines

Hi guy's/gals

 

Been checking my part built s7. Regarding the brake and fuel lines in the tunnel: The brake line is supported every 24/25cm & the fuel line only seems to have support at each end. Are these correct or will i have to strip it and re-clip etc?

Sorry Steve,

the support distance is max 30cm.

Fuel line will definitely need supporting at that distance.

Had a thought,

 

Could i cut the top piece of the tunnel to make "inspection holes" so that i could make the fixings without having to strip everything as the panels overlap? Or is it too much of the structure of the car?

Hi Steve , The top of my tunnel was bolted so i had no problems , plus i modified it to make a couple of storage compartments for bits and bobs and the odd spanner or two etc.

Mine was just bolted aswell, however the panels at the rear were overlapped by the previous builder, so meant i would have to drop the tank etc, etc, etc!

 

Out with the grinder then!

I have recently had to make an inspection hole in the side of my tunnel. It actually makes life a lot easier.
