We have created this new forum so members can upload any technical documentation they feel might be useful to other members. However, we need to be careful with copyright issues so for now we will allow only Committe members to upload any content. If you have a document you feel is relevant that you have either written yourself or is freely available on the Internet or you believe has no copyright issues then please send it to one of the Committee so we can post it on your behalf (with an acknowledgement). As examples I have kicked it off with a list of the parts used in the SuperSpec model and a detailed wiring diagram.

Robin Hoods 2B Plus - Ford Sierra based 2 litre Pinto: My accelerator cable snapped this morning on an early morning run, so does anyone know what accelerator cable is likely to be fitted to my 2B (Sierra?) or is it a case of taking it off and measuring it and finding a supplier? Either way any recommendations for a supplier - quite urgent only because I don't want to miss this beautiful weather . . . . . what a pleasant way of seeing the countryside limping back on idle in first or second😁 Also an interesting aside, when I was parked, engine running, hazards on, the engine wouldn't switch off until I stopped the hazards first. Any ideas why. The hazards worked fine with …

Yes I know there are lots, and I know that identifying odd noises, when you can't hear them doesn't really work . . . . but: I wandered into my garage yesterday and heard a strange quiet noise. At first I ignored it thinking it was the freezer, then I realised it wasn't. When I went near the car, I eventually realised it was coming from around the steering column area behind the dash. It is quiet, like a slight tinkling, or for those of a certain age, like a very quiet telephone modem as heard through a telephone (in the olden days!). It is constant, i.e. it is there whether the ignition is on or off, so if it is electrical it must be live when the ignition is off. …

Over the last few years AndyW and I have collected a raft of information about the Superspec ranging from a detailed wiring diagram to a list of spare parts, a description of the MEMS ECU, servicing manuals and lots more, mainly concerning the Rover T16 engine. I’ve zipped them as a single file and attached it to this message. Hope Superspec owners find it useful, and if you have any other documents of information you might think is useful then send it to me and I will incorporate it in the package. Rover.zip

This is an example of technical information that might be useful for other members, although in this case, maybe only Superspec owners. While he was rewiring his car AndyW produced this detailed wiring diagram to supplement the rather simplistic one produced by Robin Hood Engineering. Andy Wiring Diagram.xls
