The new Stig (White overalls) is Ben collins, old Stig (Black overalls, killed in the XJS on the aircraft carrier) was Perry McCarthey, ex F1, Le Mans etc driver

Perry, was the old (black suited) Stig, left Top Gear to race for Audi in their sports prototypes.

 

I live next door to him and he's a genuinely nice guy.

 

I had heard rumors about the new Stig being Ex-ascar, but nobody I spoke to could actually put a name to him.
