This is a little off the topic of exhaust mounting but I've just had a SVA test and the examiner didnt like edge trim (as shown in Elwe and Enforcers photos) on the exhaust .. said it wasnt durable or some such. Do these photos show the exhaust as it passed the SVA test? And in Salty Monks photo is that plastic trim ( as in Mini wheel arch trim ) or is it stainless ?

Yes, my photos do show edge trim on the silencer as passed SVA. And yes, it had started to melt a bit and is falling off now so I supposed the SVA examiners are right really. Still the inspector we had checking the examiners work didn't question the edge trim.

In My photo's it's a piece of folded stainless on the edge of the heatshield. This is how it passed SVA as far as I know... (I didn't build it...)

Mine was 'Titanfast' - a smaller, good quality plastic edge trim. Yes it gets hot and a bit more flexible, but it doesn't melt, fall off or catch fire. And yes, it does pass SVA!

Where did you get it from Enforcer?

Woolies - I've used them for all my trim because if you ask nicely it arrives the following morning!
