What is the next number in sequence:

 

1/4, 1/2, 1, 3, 6, 12, 24, ??

1/2 = halfpenny

1 = penny

3 = threepenny piece

6 = sixpence

12 = shilling

24 = 2 shillings

30 = halfcrown
