Oil Starvation

I’ve not seen a rolling road printout but the guy who sold it to me suggested it had been rolling roaded and had given approx 150bhp. I think that this is probably fair given how quick the car was.

The head is definitely very sorted, with a high lift kent cam. The guy who is working on this with me, who is a mechanic and built a number of rally spec (190bhp+)pintos for mk2 escorts thinks with the 2.1 block, we should be seeing around 170 bhp.

Unfortunately he knows nothing about shortened sumps, his advice was to dry sump it - well that all well and good but it is not his bank balance that this is all hitting!

Thanks for the sump Bill - we went for an unusual fully welded horizontal baffle, which with only a small mod the race engine builders who have rebuilt the block gave the thumbs up to.

Car still not got the engine back in, hopefully next week, then have other issues to sort, some filtration for my twin 45's, rev limiter, oil pressure warning light, etc etc.
