I've checked the mot just wondered if anyone on the forum owns it now

Hi guys just wondered if my old car is still around on here? I owned it till 2007 ish last MOT by looks of it was 2012.....

watch out for roadsure, they tried to stitch me up for half the policy after i cancelled its after 9 days even though they told me that i'd only pay for each day it was insured.

be carefull with roadsure, i insured with them after explaining i would most likely cancel in a few days and was told no worries theres a 14 day cooling off period, when i cancelled the policy after 5 days i had to call them after 3 weeks and ask where the hell my money was, they said we'll give you £20 back. well as you can imagine i went up the wall at them. £80 for 5 days insurance? pisstake............ so after 40minutes on the the phone i finally got £50 back, still a pisstake but yeah. edit to say after another week still no money back yet so i guess i have to waste even more on another phonecall tomorrow.

well today was the day, my s7 is away to pastures new. the Guy i think is already aware of the essex group and was planning to go to the next meet. so im now a few grand better off and one car down. dont worry i'll still keep poking my nose in around here

thanks guys. i can only assume that the guy didnt send the trader bit off. i'll just fill it out and explain i didnt buy it until such date as the reg doc says i did and this was after the offence date.

i've been sent a NIP for an offence when i didnt even own a vehicle? the offence was over a month prior to whe i bought the vehicle. trouble is i have not got the details of the trader i bought from (i think he was a bit dodgy) do i just write back stating that i didnt even own the thing at that point in time?

im guessing an s7 had a standard sierra lower steering column bush? the one at the bulkhead by the pedals. mines getting a tiny bit of play in it. Ed

my mates S7 cracked in less than 3k just in front of the bulkhead, he had it tig welded. mine was already repaired when i bought it.

dont forget if you go over 160bhp you will need to dowel the flywheel. saves it exiting stage side

hey chris, i work in farnham area, but to be fair i have balanced them with the length of tube method and they seem fine now. if i get stuck again and i need to do it more accurately i'll give you a shout

ok great guys done the balancing fine all sound the same pitch ect now

yeah was running ok before just seems to be running on 3 almost. ill give the balance bar another go....
