Is it going to be up and ready for the Main Event then Bob ? ?

Brendan (SG186) blew his gearbox at the Easter Thunderball but by divine intervention managed to make it to the Shakespeare Nationals...

You're probably just speaking to it with the wrong accent! I have that problem a lot over here, it doesn't understand what you want it to do :p

Guys,

The last run (when the damage occured at about 1000 feet) was a 9.51 159 mph...with just 6 cylinders....so theres still plenty more to come.

It looks like the blower coughed back & caused a temporary 45psi of boost (should be max 11) & the burst panel should let have go at 25, but it didnt. Only possible causes for it to cough are weak mixture or wrong timing, so they'll be checked & re-checked after the rebuild.

The head is being repaired locally, & we're honing the bores ourselves, but new pistons, rings & big end shells (& a thicker head gasket!!) are coming from the US, but there is a 2 week delay while the piston supplier builds 2000 identical Pro-Stock pistons, before he tools up for our pistons.

Our next event is on 17th & 18th June, which we should make.

I'll post up whether we're ready or not a few days before.

Cheers, Bob
