Got my hands on a pair of 40 DCOEs but with no manifold.

My car is a series 3 - standard 2.0 Pinto. Which manifold do you guys use? 1.15" or 3.4"

Some options on http://www.aldonauto.co.uk/ are:

Pinto - 2 x 40 DCOE (3.4") 4270A £62.97

Pinto - 2 x 40 DCOE (1.15") 4272A £64.68

Pinto - 2 x 40 DCOE (1.15") 4272B £71.49

Smaller may be better because of the limited space but does it affect performance. Can I fit the 3.4" in.

Any help appreciated.

I have used a 1.1 inch manifold which I have taken some time (yesterday seeing as I had the head off) in matching to the intakes to try and minimise the losses. Using a 3.4 inch you have problems getting a trumpet on number 1 intake and a filter on any of them. Ideal would be a swan neck type that would raise the carbs 1.5 inches and cut a hole in the bonnet for trumpets and filters.
