Head Rests

Might be a daft question..... but;

If you've fitted the RH supplied Recarco seats with the removable head rests, does Mr SVA man want the head rests fitted or can they be left out?

 

I ask because the harness on the drivers seat rubs slightly against one of the head rest supports

You don't need a head rest for the SVA but you'll really appreciate one if you have a crash, if you're paralyzed then you can't build any more cars

I'm not disputing whether you need headrests or not, but it seems strange to me that they're not required considering all the other aspects that are deemed failures - such as non sva compliant switches and screws on light lenses etc

Just look at that rollover bar - It's pretty close to one's bonce without a headrest eh?

Hey folks,

just to clarify this isn't a permanent configuration...its just to get me through the SVA - like not fitting a windscreen or something. Once passed the car's off the road while I sort the problem out - or put different seats in.

at my SVA with I had to remove the headrests to pass the interior mirror test ! , they are back on now - I think you need them

Mine failed with them fitted and passed with them removed. Now back on.
